Claire King and friends held a bake sale recently for Christine’s Hope for Kids. The sale was held on a Sunday afternoon outside Stop and Shop Market in Pennington. The girls baked all week in preparation and had meetings to package and price all the goodies. They had cookies, brownies, chocolate dipped pretzels, mini cheesecakes, muffins and more! They even made up their own signs. My favorite was, “On a diet? How about a no calorie donation?” After all that hard work the girls raised $544.00. This is not only an example of kids helping kids but also of kids working together as a team to help kids less fortunate. Bravo girls, job well done!
The girls also wanted to recognize the generosity of the community of shoppers, many of whom just made donations. We thank you for your support.
