The Cranford Girl Scout Troop 40665 and Christine's Hope For Kids made a donation to the Cranford Parks and Recreation Committee recently. The girl scouts raised $350 selling lemonade during Cruise Nite in Cranford and donated the money to Christine's Hope. We matched their donation making it $700. The girls then told us about Kathleen French, who lives in Cranford and was trying to raise enough money to build a swing set for the park so that kids with handicaps and disabilities like her brother Patrick could enjoy the simple pleasures of swinging on a swing. So last week we all met Kathleen and Patrick and we are happy to report Kathleen has raised all the money needed and the swing is well on it's way. Thank you Cranford Girl Scouts!
