A fundraiser was held recently at Shane's Rib Shack, located at 2240 NW 19th Street, Suite 1200 in Boca Raton. Part of the proceeds from the night's event went to Christine's Hope for Kids Foundation. The Foundation was started in January, 2010 to honor the memory of Christine Gianacaci, a 22-year-old Lynn University student who lost her life in that month's devastating earthquake in Haiti while serving on a humanitarian mission with Food for the Poor. Our Foundation looks to honor Christine's giving spirit by reaching out to help underprivileged children and kids with differences.
The foundation now has a chapter in South Florida helping kids in that region. They have already done work with Florence Fuller Child Development Centers, The American Association of Caregiving Youth and North Palm Beach Little League.
