By chance, and with a little planning, Christine, Stephanie & Brit’s foundations all came together in Haiti. Imagine the chance of that! We knew that through a friend of ours that Carissa Caricato was going to Haiti with a group called Hoola for Happiness. She was teaming with her friend Kara Teresi who was taking soccer equipment donated by Stephanie’s Mission (Stephanie Crispinelli) for The Little Feet Organization. Are you all following this? So we asked Carissa if she would take a Christine’s Hope tee shirt & wear it and take a picture with Kara wearing a Stephanie’s Missions tee shirt. Carissa & Kara were thrilled to do this for all of us knowing that Christine and Stephanie were roommates on the Journey of Hope trip. So we gave Carissa the tee shirt, wrist bands & frisbees to hand out to all the kids and off she went.
What happened next was truly amazing. Unknown to them, they traveled to Grand Guave in Haiti, where the Be Like Brit Orphanage is being built (Britney Gengel). Imagine their shock & surprise when they met and talked to Lex, the friend of the Gengels who is managing the building of the orphanage project. So a picture of all THREE girls’ shirts was taken. This was overwhelming to all of us. The girls are working their magic helping kids all over the world. In Haiti, Jamaica and the U.S.A and once in a while they come together for a photo op and then they get back to work. The pictures that follow were taken by Carissa of the children receiving hoola hoops, soccer equipment and most of all enjoying the spirit & love of these wonderful girls, Carissa & Kara.
